February Treats

How fun (or not fun, depending on how you look at it) that the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day are back to back this year?!

Super Bowl Sunday: February 13

This year, our Super Bowl Menu (linked here) is available for pick up ONLY on Sunday, February 13 between 8AM and 4PM. You can place your order in store with us or online here.

Just make sure you place your orders by 7PM on Thursday, February 10.

If you’re interested in a recommendation, my favorite is the prosciutto asiago cheese bread. But I also can’t resist an empanada so the basil pesto chicken, buffalo chicken  AND bananas foster empanadas are calling my name. Just saying.

Valentine’s Day: February 14

Let’s be real, there’s no better place than a scratch bakery to pick up some treats for your Valentine. I’m clearly biased, but our Valentine’s Day goodies at M&D are top notch.

We’ve got our famous Lover’s Cake which is chocolate cake, raspberry mousse and chocolate ganache icing. If cake isn’t your thing, grab some of our long stem chocolate covered strawberries. They’re always a hit. And if you want something truly decadent and special, try our truffles! We’ve got raspberry or sea salt caramel. And last, but never least, grab some of our heart shaped frosted/sprinkled cookies! Better yet? Put together a box with all of the above!

Happy February, friends!

With so much love & gratitude,

The Team at M&D

Rebecca McKinney

I was born a foodie. My dad is a chef, baker, and restaurant owner and my mom might as well be because she owns whatever kitchen she walks into. I grew up working in my family’s restaurant and bakery in Pawling, New York – McKinney and Doyle. I started behind the bakery counter at 12 years old after begging my parents to let me start working. At 16 I worked as a hostess. By 18 I was serving tables and training behind the bar where I then worked every other weekend throughout my college career. Even now, when I am visiting my family in New York, I help out where I’m needed. To make a long story short, the food and restaurant industry has been my life for as long as I can remember.

I wanted to create this blog for a few reasons. First and foremost, to share tips, tricks, and knowledge about the food and beverage industry in general but also to help people see a different side of the restaurant world. Every restaurant has a totally unique culture and world within it. I want to help open people’s eyes to more than how fast the service is or how easy or hard it is to secure a reservation.

So, thanks for stopping by! I welcome your ideas, input, and feedback and hope you enjoy!

Eat well & travel often,

Becky McKinney
