Fall Has Arrived at The Corner Bakery

Pumpkin season is back and the love for it is as strong as ever. We promise to never ignore pumpkin and all it has to offer, BUT we did want to take the fall season as little deeper this year …

Cinnamon apple lemonade in a glass with fresh cinnamon sticks

Back by popular demand? Our cinnamon apple lemonade (pictured above) made with fresh pressed Gala Apples, house cinnamon bark syrup, and tart lemons. The perfect mix of summer and fall … kind of like these September days.

You should also try our new Shaken Pomegranate Cider. It’s made with fresh pomegranate juice pressed in house and then shaken with local apple cider. The result is a bright, fall inspired refresher. A must try.

If you’re looking to warm things up, I recommend trying the new Turmeric Latte aka The Golden Steamer. It’s made with creamy coconut and oat milk steeped with fresh turmeric, ginger and cinnamon bark. Talk about getting the warm and cozies.

Even though we’re pumped for fall, summer weather is still alive and well and that means … so is our Shake Shop! In addition to the flavors we’ve been sharing with you since July, you can also try a Pumpkin Pie shake made with homemade pumpkin puree. We’ve also got (and this is definitely my favorite) an Apple Pie Shake with rich butter pecan ice cream, a touch of cinnamon and graham crackers.

And our fall classics are coming back too including caramel dipped apples, pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, pound cakes, and more.

What are YOUR fall favorites?

Rebecca McKinney

I was born a foodie. My dad is a chef, baker, and restaurant owner and my mom might as well be because she owns whatever kitchen she walks into. I grew up working in my family’s restaurant and bakery in Pawling, New York – McKinney and Doyle. I started behind the bakery counter at 12 years old after begging my parents to let me start working. At 16 I worked as a hostess. By 18 I was serving tables and training behind the bar where I then worked every other weekend throughout my college career. Even now, when I am visiting my family in New York, I help out where I’m needed. To make a long story short, the food and restaurant industry has been my life for as long as I can remember.

I wanted to create this blog for a few reasons. First and foremost, to share tips, tricks, and knowledge about the food and beverage industry in general but also to help people see a different side of the restaurant world. Every restaurant has a totally unique culture and world within it. I want to help open people’s eyes to more than how fast the service is or how easy or hard it is to secure a reservation.

So, thanks for stopping by! I welcome your ideas, input, and feedback and hope you enjoy!

Eat well & travel often,

Becky McKinney
