I wanted to create this blog for a few reasons. First and foremost, to share tips, tricks, and knowledge about the food and beverage industry in general but also to help people see a different side of the restaurant world. Every restaurant has a totally unique culture and world within it. I want to help open people’s eyes to more than how fast the service is or how easy or hard it is to secure a reservation.
So, thanks for stopping by! I welcome your ideas, input, and feedback and hope you enjoy!
Eat well & travel often,
Becky McKinney

Ruta Sepetys, American author, once said, “New Orleans is unlike any city in America. Its cultural diversity is woven into the food, the music, the architecture – even the local superstitions.
It’s a sensory experience on all levels and there’s a story lurking around every corner.” I couldn’t agree more, which is why NOLA has grown to be one of my all time favorite places to visit. Between time spent at old favorites and some new discoveries, I returned home with a full but happy stomach and an abundance of new memories to cherish.
sport has to offer. Now that we’ve got a couple of weeks under our belt, I’ve easily fallen back into our game day snack routine of wings, chips and dip. But tasty as they may be, I’d still rather spend my Sunday morning relaxing with coffee on the couch instead of prepping food in the kitchen. I haven’t found my go to spot here in St. Pete for pre-made quality goods but I DO know that if you’re anywhere M&D, the bakery has you covered.
more time to go over the event in detail. And before you ask me if I’ve mixed up the date, YES, we are holding this event on a Monday. Since the restaurant is not typically open on Monday’s, space will be limited and tickets must be purchased in advance so we can be sure to prep in full.
in an effort to keep things aligned with the world around us. I actually get a lot of questions from readers, especially from those of you who subscribe to our newsletter, about WHY certain changes have been made and how these updates have come to be. Well, today is your lucky day because I’m gonna break it all down for you.
